Job Summary:
Support various departments in a manufacturing environment by fabricating tooling, fixtures, and parts using machines and equipment to maintain product quality and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret verbal instructions, layouts, blueprints, and tool drawings
Set up and operate various machines, hand tools, and welding equipment
Perform machining and fabrication tasks such as welding, boring, drilling, grinding, sawing, etc.
Build and repair templates, fixtures, tools, and shop aids
Support prototype production and equipment maintenance
Inspect work using measurement tools
Maintain a clean, safe workspace and perform general labor tasks
Collaborate with engineering and planning teams
Provide guidance or training to junior staff when needed
May work outdoors or in different departments based on workload
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Weld certification required
5+ years of Millwright experience
Proficiency with hand/machine tools, shop math, and blueprint reading
Basic computer skills
Work Environment:
Production setting with exposure to noise and hazardous materials
Must be able to lift 25 lbs., stand/sit for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks
