Milwaukee Excellence Charter School Teacher (Grades 6-12)

Our School

Milwaukee Excellence is a top-rated school in Milwaukee. Milwaukee Excellence opened on August 29, 2016, to 90 students in 6th grade and will grow one-grade level a year until we reach 12th grade in the 2022-23 school year. In 2021 - 2022, Milwaukee Excellence will serve approximately 720 students in 6th through 11th grade.

Milwaukee Excellence is the #2 rated school in the Milwaukee Public Schools and a National Title I School of Distinction. Here are a few of our most notable highlights:

•Top growth of any school in the state! We earned a perfect score of 100 on student achievement growth.

•MX 8th graders beat the state in math results. 40% of our students were proficient in 8th-grade math compared to 36% of students statewide. African-American students at Milwaukee Excellence are outpacing the state!

•Our math scores are three times the state average for African-American students!

•Our reading scores are nearly two times the state average for African-American students!

•Milwaukee Excellence is one of seven Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) to achieve a five-star rating!

Qualifications:

● Strong commitment to, belief in, and alignment with mission and vision of school.

● Wisconsin state teacher license or eligibility.

● Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.

● Minimum of one year working in urban education with a history of significant gains in student performance and/or growth (preferred).
