    Mind Computing is seeking a Junior VTC Technician (Technical Support - Tier 2) to join our team in Washington, D.C. In this position you will provide on-site and remote support for computer workstations, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment. The Technical Support (Tier 2) will report to the Project Manager and collaborate with employees and contractors. This is a temporary position located in Washington, D.C.

    Responsibilities:

    • VTC Operations, scheduling, monitoring, troubleshooting, installation, deinstallation
    • Cisco Tandberg Codian MSE 8510, Cisco Webex Room Kits, DX80, EX90, SX10, SX20, C20, C40, C60, Dual 70, Cisco IP phones, Intellix, MCU's laptops (Dell, HP, MAC), Samsung, LG experience
    • TelePresence Management Suite experience
    • Maintains and manages VTC system endpoints
    • LAN/WAN troubleshooting & utilizes a ticking system
    • Oversees small projects
    • Identify, investigate, and resolve users' problems with computer software and hardware
    • Field support calls, chat, email, and/or other communication from users with inquiries regarding software programming, connectivity, printing, and similar concerns
    • Consult with users to determine steps and procedures taken to identify and resolve the problem
    • Apply knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to solve problems
    • Guide users through diagnostic and troubleshooting processes, which may include use of diagnostic tools and software and following verbal instructions
    • Collaborate with other staff to research and resolve problems
    • Collaborate with programmers to explain errors and/or recommend modifications in programs
    • Arrange service by software or hardware vendors to repair or replace defective products
    • Maintain knowledge of technology innovations and trends
    • Perform other related duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • Associates Degree or 2-year technical school
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Moderate Risk Background Clearance Minimum Background Investigation (MBI)
    • Minimum of three (3) years' experience supporting PC Hardware and Software or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
    • Minimum of one (1) year experience providing support of Microsoft technologies including software, operating systems, and troubleshooting Microsoft Office Suite or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Physical abilities include the ability to lift, move, carry 50lbs; ability to climb under tables, stand on ladders, etc.
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
    • Professional and pleasant telephone manner
    • Ability to explain technical issues to technical and nontechnical employees and customers
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
    • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn an array of computer hardware and software
    • Ability to travel up to 10 % as required
    • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the US
