Minerva is seeking candidates for the position of a Counselor at Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS). This is a part-time, 10-month position (August-May). This position will serve an essential role in expanding Minerva's counseling and wellness services at our San Francisco location. Specifically, the primary duties of this position include providing short-term clinical services and coordination of care for students in San Francisco.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Counseling & Psychological Services in San Francisco
Providing a full range of clinical services to students (primarily international population) located in San Francisco, with emphasis on short-term individual therapy, consultation, case management, and crisis intervention
Providing group therapy and outreach programming, and training based on student needs, as relevant
Working with Student Life staff to support student wellness, and to develop mental health support systems for students studying in SF
Developing and delivering training for student staff, as needed
Providing consultation and support to faculty and staff regarding students of concern, as needed
Participates in special events at the University and serves on relevant university committees as needed
Other duties as required

This is a part-time (~0.5 FTE), 10-month position, active during the academic year (August-May). The 10-month appointment and part-time hours are negotiable. Compensation will be competitive and dependent on experience and qualifications; benefits ineligible. Start date negotiable, preferably by August 1, 2019. A background check is required before formal offer of employment.
