    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education

    Bachelor's Degree or 4 years related experience experience in Physician business operations preferred.

    EXPERIENCE

    3 years medical supplies inventory and purchasing experience preferred.

    Medical Supply Sales/inventory management and negotiation with vendors are required.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Job Summary

    • The Medical Supply Contracting Specialist plans, organizes and manages the daily operations of specified government, managed care, and non-contracted billing and collection teams and projects.

    • Establishes and implements policies, procedures and operational benchmarks to assist with management of revenue cycle including pre-authorizations and claim denials.

    • Monitors billing and collection work queues for account activity, aging and employee productivity as well as quality of work. Establishes effective meetings with payers, including providing data regarding unresolved inventories to reduce Accounts Receivable and other contractual issues.

    • Maintains level of knowledge for HIPAA, hospital policy and reimbursement criteria. Ensures proper management and tracking of contracts including contract effective dates, anniversary dates, reimbursement rates, directory accuracy, et cetera

    • Assists billing company with enhancing and formalizing procedures related to revenue cycle

    • Reviews and resolves the more difficult customer service complaints as they relate to billing. Maintains continuous quality improvement.
