Overview
Turner Staffing Group is hiring a Mining Foreman to support operations in Hinkley, California. This is a leadership role responsible for overseeing daily production activities, managing crews, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with production goals.
This position is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong field experience who can drive performance, maintain accountability, and lead from the front in an active mining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of operators, laborers, and support personnel
- Ensure production targets are met while maintaining safety and quality standards
- Monitor and manage equipment utilization and workforce productivity
- Enforce all site safety policies and MSHA regulations
- Conduct daily safety meetings, job briefings, and shift handoffs
- Identify and resolve operational issues in real time
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime
- Train, mentor, and develop crew members
- Maintain clear communication with site management and client representatives
- Complete required reports, documentation, and production tracking
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory or foreman role within mining, quarry, or heavy civil operations
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operations and production processes
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
- Valid driver's license required
- MSHA certification required (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Strong understanding of workplace safety standards and regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-production environment
- Reliable, organized, and able to make sound decisions under pressure
