    Job Description

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Training Department plays a crucial role in connecting our customers to our software. The main purpose of this position is to help our customers make a smooth transition from their current software to Minisoft’s software solution and to provide training and customer support throughout the process.

    We are looking for an organized, flexible, and experienced Software Trainer to join our company where you will execute training plans, training materials and schedule classes with our various firms to provide software instruction to their employees. You will also review results and trainee feedback to provide solutions to improve materials and classes, as well as identify and assist in the development of additional training and software improvement opportunities. This position requires excellent presentation and communication skills as you will be meeting with management personnel and software users to understand the needs of each organization. Based on these requirements, you may need to tailor the agenda and train key personnel on how to use the solution.

    When you are not physically at a customer site, you will provide online training, support our current customer base, prepare for future trips, and conduct follow-ups with recently installed customers from your home office.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Providing remote learning courses to firms globally
    • Conducting onsite/ in person training and consulting for US and Canadian firms with occasional international travel
    • Accompanying colleagues to trade shows, user groups, and networking events
    • Assisting firms with best practice solutions and custom consulting projects
    • Designing and presenting engaging product webinars
    • Assist the evolution of new training practices and solutions to ensure customer success
    • Serve as a key training resource for internal Minisoft colleagues

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor Degree or prior professional experience preferred
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Engaging presentation skills and style 
    • Experience teaching or delivering training to diverse audiences
    • Ability to flexibly generate and execute training agendas 
    • Ability to self-manage and perform responsibly in a remote environment 
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
    • General knowledge of web based conferencing platforms preferred, i.e WebEx, Zoom.
    • Customer service oriented
    • Educational content creation experience preferred

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Minisoft is a remote company. Training Specialist will also work from a home office proving web based training
    • Travel: The Training Specialist position is a traveling role under normal conditions. However, initially the role will remain remote as your skills and knowledge are assessed. As your comfort level grows so too will travel opportunities. During peak periods this role may occasionally require up to 80 percent travel.
