    Grace Baptist Church Job Title: Ministry Coordinator

    Reports To: Executive Pastor & Director of Ministry Coordinators

    Time Status: Full-Time

    Classification: Support Staff

    SUMMARY A Ministry Coordinator is a multifaceted position that assists pastors and directors in fulfilling Grace Baptist Church’s vision for members to Grow in a Grace Group, Participate in Worship, and Serve the Grace Family (GPS).

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:

    · Attend Ministry Coordinator meetings and prayer time.

    · Attend All-Staff meetings and other required meetings as needed.

    · Collaborate to plan ministry events.

    · Maintain and/or create systems to help form, track, and resource various ministries.

    · Utilize church platforms such as FMX to request facility needs.

    · Utilize church platforms such as Shelby Membership and Shelby Financials.

    · Utilize email and calendar applications with proficiency.

    · Employ (or learn to use) live documents via OneDrive.

    · Decorate environments for special events when needed.

    · Assist in fulfilling GBC’s mission, vision, and in establishing a culture of equipping church members as disciples.

    · Remain knowledgeable of all events/functions and communicate accurate information when needed.

    · Active participation for “all-in” events.

    · Answer main GBC phones and direct calls to the appropriate staff members, when necessary.

    · Perform other duties/tasks as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS:

    · A lifestyle that demonstrates an obedience to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

    · A member of Grace Baptist Church, or a willingness to become a Covenant member.

    · Committed to the core values of the church (BMIC and GPS).

    · Preference for 3+ years of ministry-related work experience.

    · A passion/calling for Kingdom and discipleship growth.

    · A demonstrated ability to maintain sensitive, confidential church information.

    · Committed to biblical tithing (a minimum of 10% of gross income).

    · Good ‘people’ skills for relating to senior pastor, pastoral staff, co-workers, volunteers, church members, and guests.

    · Ability to perform services independently, without direct supervision, as well as work cohesively within a team environment.

    · Ability to maintain poise and a positive attitude, even when under pressure.

    · Proficient in all Windows-based software, including Excel documents.

    · Knowledge and principles of preparing correspondence, forms, reports, etc.

    · Knowledge of principles and procedures of record-keeping and filing systems.

    · High attention to detail and accuracy with complete follow-through.

    · Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

    · Basic understanding of office organization, operations, office equipment, and methods.

    · Excellent organizational skills.

    · Proficient English, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary skills.
