    Description:

    Role Overview:

We are a busy, dual-career family seeking a highly organized and proactive Household Manager / Family Assistant to anchor our home. Our primary goal is to maximize quality time with our children. By partnering with a dependable professional who can seamlessly manage day-to-day logistics behind the scenes, we can transition from the workday to family time without the stress of competing chores.

A love of cooking and the ability to plan and prepare meals that the whole family — kids included — will enjoy is essential to success in this role. This role works alongside an existing household team, so a collaborative approach is a must. If you genuinely love cooking nourishing and delicious food, creating orderly systems, helping a household thrive, and operating with a high level of autonomy, we would love to meet you.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Cooking & Meal Prep:

Since you won’t be with us daily, batch cooking is important. The kids food is just as central to this role as cooking for the family — we encourage our children to eat what we eat, and we love a good leftover.

Family Dinners: Prepare 2–3 family dinners per week that everyone at the table will enjoy.

Family Lunches: Prepare 1–2 family lunches to have on hand during the week.

Kids' Snacks: Keep the kids stocked with wholesome, approachable snacks throughout the week.

Meal Planning: Coordinate weekly meal planning with the family, but take ownership of it and sending over a grocery list.

Kitchen Upkeep: Keep the kitchen tidy as you go throughout the day.

Family Laundry: Manage the full laundry cycle — washing, drying, folding, and putting away.

Bedding: Change bed sheets/duvets on a regular rotation.

    Household Organization & Light Housekeeping:

With two young kids, things can spiral fast — toys migrate, drawers stop closing, and surfaces disappear. We need someone with a genuine eye for order who can stay ahead of the chaos proactively, not just reactively.

Kids' Spaces: Keep children's rooms, closets, and dressers consistently tidy, organized, and functional.

Systems Maintenance: Create and maintain organizational systems so things have a place — and actually get back to it.

Toy Rotation: Rotate and organize kids' toys so spaces stay manageable.

Common Areas: Tidy shared living spaces between our weekly deep clean.

Seasonal Transitions: Manage wardrobe rotations as the kids grow.

    Light Routine Maintenance:

Appliances: Clean the dishwasher filter, laundry machine seals and dispensers, and wipe down the inside of the fridge on a regular cadence.

Kid Gear: Maintain car seats (straps, buckles, trays, removable inserts), wipe down strollers, and spot-clean toys and play equipment as needed.

What Success Looks Like in Our Home:

The ideal candidate will take ownership of the household's rhythm without needing to be asked. You will know you are thriving in this role when:

Meals are planned and prepped so weeknight evenings feel manageable rather than chaotic.

The kids have food and snacks ready to go throughout the week.

Laundry is consistently done and put away.

Main living spaces and kids' spaces feel calm and organized, even with two toddlers doing their best to undo all of it.

We can be fully present with our children without mentally running through a to-do list.

    Requirements & Qualifications:

Experience: Proven background in professional household management, executive family assisting, or high-level nanny roles. Cooking: A genuine enjoyment of cooking and comfort preparing a variety of cuisines — this is the heart of the role. Comfortable cooking for young children and invested in making food they'll actually eat. No formal culinary training required, but real cooking ability is a must. Organization: Genuinely organized — not just tidy, but someone who naturally creates systems and maintains them over time. Mindset: Highly proactive and self-directed with a natural "see a need, fill a need" work ethic; comfortable spotting disorder before it snowballs and taking ownership without being micromanaged. Skills: Strong multitasking abilities with the intuition to learn and anticipate a household's natural daily rhythm. Reliability: Trustworthy and dependable. Must possess a reliable vehicle and a clean background check

    A Note From Us:

We're a family that genuinely loves good food, a tidy home, and being present with our kids — and right now, we're stretched too thin to do all three well. We're not looking for someone to execute a checklist. We're looking for someone who takes quiet pride in a well-stocked fridge, a dinner the kids actually ask for seconds of, and a playroom that somehow stays functional. If that kind of work genuinely lights you up, we think you'll love it here.
