    Minnesota Millwork & Fixtures is a manufacturer of custom commercial millwork, casework and upholstered seating for the restaurant and hospitality industry. Our client base includes well known national and regional chains along with local contractors and businesses.

    We are seeking an experienced full-time Project Manager for our Lonsdale facility. The position is primarily responsible for managing projects. This involves the development of new business and growing repeat business through relationships they cultivate with satisfied members of their customers’ project teams. Job satisfaction comes from being a leader as we create high quality, complex, and beautiful interior environments for our customers while generating gross margin that assures the financial stability of our company.

    Responsibilities:

    Prepare project estimates and proposals for millwork, cabinetry, doors, and countertops.

    Set expectations with drafting regarding the level of detail in the drawings and completion schedule. Review all shop drawings to make certain the drawings are in compliance with our proposal.

    Analyze job specifications, architectural drawings, blueprints, and supporting documents to determine and calculate quantities of materials specified for projects.

    Create proper customer expectations regarding quality and schedule. Revise these expectations as circumstances arise during the project.

    Communicate material needs with Purchaser for non-stock items.

    Identify potential quality and cost problems that must be resolved proactively and create a plan to solve them.

    Determine which portions of the job will be produced internally and which will be subcontracted. Make appropriate arrangements to get the work done.

    Manage change orders when necessary and make relevant modifications. Revise the schedule so it remains accurate as the project progresses.

    Assist with work orders and shipping tickets when needed.

    Solid communication skills in building long-term relationships with key people among your customer base that helps to build continued business.

    Qualifications/ Skills:

    Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial projects

    Associates degree in drafting, architecture, or construction related fields is preferred

    Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications

    Proficient computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, estimating software, and electronic database documentation. Knowledge in TradeSoft and AutoCAD is a plus.

    Working knowledge of commercial millwork products (cabinets, countertops, doors, millwork, wood trim, and hardware.

    A self-starter with the ability to multitask; independently managing multiple projects with firm deadlines
