Minnesota Millwork and Fixtures is looking for a CAD Drafter / Designer for our Lonsdale, MN location. For over 30 years Minnesota Millwork and Fixtures has been a leader in creating and designing quality millwork and fixtures for the commercial hospitality industry. We feature several national accounts that challenge us in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of their environments.

Qualified candidates will have experience in using the latest version of AutoCAD and knowledge of cabinet construction and basic woodworking skills. They must have the ability to read architectural drawings and prints.

Responsibilities:

Produce shop approval drawings for projects and revise as required

Preparation of material orders as required for projects

Produce cut lists and machine programming for use in the shop

Preparation of shop production packages

Produce preliminary designs when needed to qualify price quotes

Source materials as requested

Interact with project managers, designers, architects and other customer agents as required to complete design and drawing work.

Perform field measurements or site visits as directed.

Communicate with production staff with design and project details

Qualifications:

Trained in the use of AutoCAD

Self-Starter

Ability to meet or exceed budgeted project hour

Organized and detail orientated

Strong communication skills

Experienced in the design of casework and commercial fixtures

Ability to handle multiple projects at any given time.
