    Breakfast Host/Hostess

    GENERAL DUTIES:

    Serving guests during breakfast while providing the highest level of service possible in an efficient, courteous and professional manner by following hotel standards of aggressive hospitality and adhering to guidelines and procedures.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Report to work on time, in proper and clean uniform, including name tag. Personal appearance and grooming must conform to standards.

    Must be able to be on feet 8 hours.

    Must have reliable transportation and a telephone.

    Be familiar and adhere to all policies, procedures and standards.

    Have knowledge about all emergency procedures, the fire system and know how to act on them.

    Must be reliable; willing to work weekends and holidays.

    Keep equipment and store room clean and locked.

    Use the customer's name whenever possible.

    At all times strive to represent the Hotel in the most professional, courteous manner.

    Initial and date all correspondence.

    Ensure that work area is always clean, neat and organized.

    Physical Requirements: Must be physically fit and have the ability to bend, stoop and lift.

    Must have full knowledge of all types of cleaning equipment and chemicals.

    Able to perform other miscellaneous jobs as requested by the General Manager.

    Give immediate response to all Guest problems and correspondence.

    Report any defects requiring Engineering Department's assistance.

    Be alert to any security problems. Report all unusual activities to Supervisor or Security personnel.

    Ensure Lost & found items are stored properly and logs are maintained.

    Responsible for food preparation during breakfast hours.

    Rotate and replenish food items every 30 minutes during breakfast hours.

    Responsible for quality control of food items.

    Ensure that pantry is well stocked on a weekly basis.

    Complete supply orders

    Complete weekly inventory of supplies and food items.

    Ensure that equipment is well maintained and in operational order (Report repair needs to Maintenance department).

    Responsible for keeping the Guest Seating area, Breakfast Bar, Kitchen and Pantry stocked, organized and clean.

    Be able to assist and/or clean a guest room if needed.

    Be knowledgeable about daily hotel operations, check daily event sheet, bulletin boards, and be up to date with all changes, new procedures and events.

    Get a daily briefing about extra ordinary events to effectively deal with all foreseen situations on a daily basis.

    Able to perform other miscellaneous jobs as requested by the general manager.

    Assist Guest with whatever needs they may have.

    Report issues that guests express concerns about to Management in a timely manner.

    SAFETY AWARENESS:

    Maintain safety by adhering to safety policies; be responsible to report all accidents immediately.

    Support all safety programs.

    Ensure that proper safety instructions are given before operating any equipment.

    Ensure compliance with accident prevention guidelines.

    Ensure that log books, handovers and checklists are well maintained.
