    Job Description

    MIRATI THERAPEUTICS (NASDAQ: MRTX) is a San Diego-based late-stage biotechnology company relentlessly focused on translating drug discovery and research into new treatments for patients by advancing and delivering novel therapeutics that target the genetic and immunologic drivers of cancer. Mirati is advancing a novel pipeline to treat large patient populations across multiple programs and tumor types, including two programs, adagrasib (MRTX849) and sitravatinib, in registration-enabling studies to treat non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

    Adagrasib is an investigational small molecule and selective KRAS G12C inhibitor in clinical development as a monotherapy and in combinations. MRTX1133 is an investigational small molecule, potent and selective KRAS G12D inhibitor in preclinical development.

    Sitravatinib is an investigational spectrum-selective inhibitor of receptor tyrosine kinases (RTK) designed to enhance immune responses through the inhibition of immunosuppressive signaling. Sitravatinib is being evaluated in multiple clinical trials to treat patients who are refractory to prior immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy, including a Phase 3 trial of sitravatinib in combination with nivolumab in NSCLC.

    The Company has initiated plans to prepare for the commercialization of adagrasib by establishing its commercial and medical affairs team.     Mirati is seeking an experienced contracts manager to assist with day-to-day contracting needs. The ideal candidate should have experience with contract request intake, review, processing and execution, including working with a contracts management system. A successful candidate should also be able to perform initial evaluations of contract requests, produce preliminary drafts using company approved templates, and to work independently in a fast-paced environment with a flexible and collaborative approach.

    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide beginning to end support for the contract process, from internal intake and review to processing for execution, while coordinating with legal team reviewers and business partner requesters as necessary.
    • Maintain the contract management system, including quality assurance review of completed records and cleaning up legacy records.
    • Maintain legal Sharepoint folder and organization
    • Generate reports pertaining to contracts contained in the contract management system, including specific information pertaining to individual contracts and summary information pertaining to multiple contracts.
    • Assist business partners with questions and concerns relating to contracts and the contract management system.
    • Follow and help drive compliance with Mirati's contract request/preparation process and applicable policies (e.g., financial authorization policy).
    • Assist in coordinating contracting activities with internal procurement, finance, functional and legal teams as needed.
    • Prepare initial drafts of contractual agreements using approved templates and a knowledge of business needs.
    • Proofread, edit, and fact-check legal documents for accuracy and consistency.
    • Collaborate effectively with a legal team consisting of lawyers, paralegals, and office staff.

    WHAT IS REQUIRED:

    • Two or more years of legal experience working with contracts.

    • Direct experience with working with Agiloft contract management system.

    • Knowledge of current contracts types and contractual language and terminology used in the pharmaceutical industry.

    • Willingness to work virtually or in an office setting.

    • Ability to identify, analyze, and suggest solutions for problems and business partner concerns.

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including an impeccable mastery of the English language.

    • An ability to be productive and successful in a fast-paced work environment.

    • Clear adherence to company policies and procurement rules and procedures.

    • Good organization skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask on several projects simultaneously.

    • Strong Microsoft Office suite knowledge/familiarity (Word, Excel, Sharepoint, etc.).

    • Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS) or equivalent relevant experience (general business, scientific/technical, legal or finance disciplines) preferred.
