    Richard Deshantz Restaurant Group in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an experienced full-time Director of Operations.

    Each of our restaurants in the Richard Deshantz Restaurant Group (richarddeshantz.com) is an important staple in the Pittsburgh dining scene and has had an influence on other restaurants in the area for over 15 years. We continue to bring creativity and innovation to Pittsburgh by focusing on farm-fresh ingredients, creatively themed concepts, and pushing boundaries.

    The ideal candidate has the ability to take initiative and show leadership while at the same time being a great team player. You’re adaptable and a natural leader by example. You have a passion for hospitality.

    Initially, this position will work with the current Director of Operations to get up to speed on the running of the group.

    Position:

    • Culinary Director

    Compensation:

    • $90-110K salary BOE
    • Medical

    Language requirements:

    • English

    Experience required:

    • 3-5 years of experience leading a large multi-concept organization in the food & beverage industry
    • Food safety knowledge (certification helpful)
    • Ordering & receiving, inventory
    • P & L management (maintaining food costs, maximizing profitability)
    • Staff training & motivation
    • Scheduling
    • Managing >20 employees

    Responsibilities:

    • Identify problems in the day-to-day operations and ways to fix them
    • Manage day-to-day operations while also working toward long-term business goals
    • Identify profits and losses and operate within the parameters of budgets
    • Daily communication across many teams (accounting, operations, and management)
    • Develop the team and provide paths for growth within the company
    • Maintain company culture and staff morale
    • Keep operations as streamlined as possible
    • Understand key revenue drivers and identify any room for improvement
