    Job Description

    POSITION OVERVIEW

    This position assists the overall accounts payable processes. In addition, the Client Services Assistant will assist with new client implementations; gathering information, setting up and troubleshooting software systems, and training clients on best practices to ensure a smooth transition to being an MEP client, as well as assist with all office management duties.

    This position reports to the Director of Operations.

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    · Assists with training Accounts Payable Specialists in restaurant practices.

    · Meets with clients at the time of implementation to guide them through the process of gathering and providing the required historical information, proofs, bank access, etc.

    · Keeps track of the documentation the new client has or has not sent in and follows up with client until all required documentation has been received.

    · Disseminating client implementation info to the appropriate staff members at MEP.

    · Does on-site training with clients on MEP processes, procedures, best practices and tools and templates used for data submission to MEP.

    · Assists with client meetings

    · Assists with setting up new clients in Intacct

    · Assists with developing and loading client budgets to Intacct

    · Assists with setting up and maintaining required data within Ctuit for the ops statement to populate correctly

    · Assists with setting up new clients and new client contacts with Ctuit access

    · Assists with reviewing and approving invoices processed by new hires in the Accounts Payable department

    · Interface with clients and liaise between the clients and the Accounts Payable staff

    · Regularly engages with Accounts Payable, Staff Accountant and Payroll personnel regarding internal processes and procedures to ensure each department operates at its highest level of efficiency

    · Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations

    · Assists with organizing and leading continued training opportunities to ensure ongoing staff development

    · Regularly liaises with other departments to resolve p&l issues or questions

    · Works on special projects as assigned by Director of Operations and Owner /CEO

    SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

    · Ability to lead and direct the work of other associates

    · Experience with establishing new controls, process improvement and building teams

    · Advanced ability to manage projects and assignments with extreme accuracy and efficiency; detail oriented

    · Excellent communication, organization, analytical, problem-solving, and management skills

    · Strong knowledge of restaurant operations practices

    · Ability to read and interpret an p&l and suggest operational shifts to maximize efficiency and profitabity

    · Proficient with spreadsheet, database and word processing applications

     

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

    · A Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business, finance or related field is strongly preferred.

    · A minimum of three years of progressive restaurant operations experience, preferably in a multi-unit environment.

    · This position may occasionally require evening/weekend work resulting in overtime.
