COLSA’s DIL support staff provides First Line Army Mission Command System (MCS) technical support to ensure successful formal and informal interoperability integration and testing between Army MCS and PEO STRI Systems and Non-System Training Aids, Devices, Simulations, and Simulators.
The selected applicant will work full-time on-site at the supported government/customer secure integration and test facility.
Essential Functions:
- Provides a range of technical and consultative services to assist customers in effectiveness and efficiency of operations, resources, and programs
- Operates and maintains Air Defense Systems which provides vital situational awareness and early warning from airspace threats
- Performs software installation, configuration, and maintenance of U.S. Army Mission Command Systems associated with an Army Tactical Operations Center (TOC)
- Participates in Airspace Management test events by facilitating simulations systems via Air Defense Systems
- Troubleshoots network connectivity problems of Air Defense Systems
- Resolves routine interoperability problems to obtain operations across all MCS platforms
- Develops and delivers technical briefings and reports
Work is performed under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgment. Work is performed in a lab environment with little or no adverse conditions. Physical demands may include lifting, up to 40 lbs., crawling, climbing, and prolonged sitting. Work requires frequent computer usage with moderate visual attention and frequent phone usage. Travel may be required on rare occasions. (Less than 5% within a year)

Required Skills
Required Experience
- Associate's degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience required
- Minimum 4 years’ work-related experience
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required
- Knowledge of administration and operation of Army Mission Command Systems (MCS) such as the Air Missile Defense Warning System (AMDWS), Tactical Airspace Integration System (TAIS), Forward Area Air Defense (FAAD), Air Defense Systems Integrator (ADSI) and Common Data Link Integration Module (CDLIM)
- Experience with Windows & Linux systems administration
- Knowledge of desktop applications (including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs) and other applicable systems and applications such as MS Visio and MS Excel
Desired Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field
- Military experience as a 140A Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Systems Integrator
- Military experience as a 14G Air Defense Battle Management System Operator
- Military experience as a 14H Air Defense Enhanced Early Warning System Operator
- IAT Level 2 certification (Security+ Certification)
