    Position Summary

    The Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) plays a key role in supporting hospice patients by delivering high-quality personal care and ensuring comfort in the home setting. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist, the CHHA helps patients maintain their dignity and independence while receiving end-of-life care.

    What You’ll Do

    • Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding

    • Support daily activities to maintain patient safety, mobility, and hygiene

    • Report changes in patient condition to supervising nurse or clinical team

    • Promote safe use of mobility aids and household equipment

    • Accurately document care delivered in accordance with hospice protocols

    • Assist patients and families in maintaining a comfortable environment

    • Travel between patient homes as scheduled for continuity of care

    What You’ll Need

    • Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) license (California)

    • Meets state and federal training requirements

    • Current CPR certification

    • Valid driver’s license, insured vehicle, and reliable transportation

    • Ability to read and follow written care instructions

    • Strong sense of empathy for patients facing terminal illness

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a care team

    • Physical capability to lift, position, and support patients as needed

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 1–2 years of home health or hospice experience

    • Familiarity with care needs of terminally ill patients

    • Experience supporting elderly or palliative care populations
