Job Summary: The Mission Market Associate (Seasonal, Part-Time) supports the rapid expansion of Star Gospel Mission’s e-commerce operations by preparing, listing, and managing inventory across online sales platforms, including eBay and Facebook Marketplace. This role is designed as a short-term, execution-focused position to accelerate inventory movement, increase revenue, and strengthen the operational foundation of Mission Market. The Associate works with urgency, attention to detail, and consistency to ensure donated goods are accurately processed and presented for sale. This position contributes directly to the Mission’s social enterprise efforts, helping convert donated goods into resources that support life-transforming programs.
E-Commerce Listing & Inventory Execution (50%) ● Photograph donated items clearly and consistently for online listings ● Create and publish product listings on eBay and Facebook Marketplace ● Write accurate, concise, and compelling item descriptions ● Research pricing to ensure competitive and appropriate valuation ● Maintain listing consistency (titles, categories, tags, condition notes) ● Monitor active listings and adjust pricing or details as needed
Inventory Processing & Organization (25%) ● Sort, tag, and prepare donated items for online sale ● Maintain organized storage and inventory tracking systems ● Ensure items are properly labeled and easy to locate for fulfillment ● Identify high-value or priority items for expedited listing Order Fulfillment & Platform Management (15%) ● Package and ship sold items in a timely and professional manner ● Coordinate local pickup or delivery logistics when applicable ● Track sales and ensure accurate order completion ● Maintain cleanliness and organization in packing and shipping areas

Operational Support (10%) ● Assist with donation intake and basic sorting as needed ● Support overall Mission Market workflow and daily priorities ● Communicate clearly with supervisor regarding inventory, challenges, and progress ● Contribute to a culture of professionalism, accountability, and follow-through
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and Experience: ● High school diploma or equivalent required ● Experience with eBay, Facebook Marketplace, or similar platforms preferred ● Experience in retail, resale, or e-commerce helpful ● Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently ● Commitment to Star Gospel Mission’s Christ-centered mission and values
Certifications/Licenses: ● Valid State Driver's License ● Christian ministry credentials/experience helpful Materials and Equipment: ● Smartphone or camera for product photography ● Computer and e-commerce platforms ● Basic shipping and packaging supplies
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: ● Strong attention to detail and organization ● Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision ● Basic understanding of online marketplaces and pricing ● Clear written communication skills for product listings ● Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain productivity
Physical Requirements: ● Ability to meet attendance requirements. ● Ability to speak and read the English language. ● Ability to sit, walk, and stand on a frequent change basis in order to perform the duties of this position. ● Ability to lift objects weighing between 25 lbs.
Working Conditions: Work is performed in office, warehouse, retail, and community settings. This role may involve lifting donations, transporting goods, and supervising guests in operational environments.
