Job Summary

Mission Peak is seeking an experienced embedded software developer/engineer for a full-time and on-site position in the San Francisco Bay Area. This engineer would have expertise in Linux/Android hardware abstraction layer (HAL, kernel) design, specifically focused on WiFi / WLAN connectivity feature development. Experience with Linux or Android networking stack is required. The use case would be the design of cutting edge wireless consumer electronics.

Responsibilities

• Building, running WiFi & networking tests on an Android based platform in a lab
• Maintain lab setup and scale test devices/hosts as needed
• Triage bug reports, and perform root cause analysis
• Experiment with fixes, validate fixes, and help team in fix integration

Qualifications

At least 3 years of experience in embedded software development, specifically in Linux or Android kernel layer

Hands-on and proficient in C/C++

Working knowledge of IEEE 802.11ac/ax WLAN protocol: data link layer and above

Experience testing WiFi devices in lab environment, including use of packet sniffers, traffic generators, etc

Working knowledge of JavaScript and Python

Working knowledge of creating dashboards to visualize telemetry data (SQL & PHP)

Detailed knowledge of Linux operating system, especially kernel layer

Experience working with bring-up and debug of code

Good communication skills and eagerness to work in team environments
