A Collections Attorney is needed at a union-side labor law firm in Sacramento, California. This is a full-time hybrid position where you will be expected to represent employee benefit plans in collection, litigation, and bankruptcy matters. Duties include, but are not limited to, drafting demand letters, filing lawsuits in federal court, and preparing post-judgment enforcement actions. The ideal candidate will have two to five years of experience in bankruptcy or civil litigation. Work Expectations  

• Hybrid 2 Days in Office / 3 Days Remote 
• Handle collection litigation and employee benefits law cases, including judgment collection and ERISA litigation. 
• Focus on retirement plans, health and welfare plans, and other employee benefit plans. 
• Enforce contribution obligations, handle subrogation, and perform post-judgment collection work. 
• Represent the firm's employee benefit plan clients in arbitrations, state, and federal court. 
• Possess or develop a strong understanding of employee benefits law. 
• Demonstrate dedication to the labor movement. 

Qualifications  

• California Law License 
• Collection litigation experience 
• Employee benefits law experience or strong interest 
• 3+ years of relevant experience 
• Knowledge of judgment collection and/or ERISA litigation 
• Familiarity with employee benefits law
