    We are a law firm focusing exclusively on representing individuals affected by mesothelioma. With offices throughout the country and expanding teams, we are committed to advocating for our clients' rights.

     

    What we're looking for:

    Our Portland, Oregon office is currently seeking a Trial Paralegal to assist trial teams during trial preparation and proceedings. We are searching for individuals who are energetic, detail-oriented, and motivated for this on-site position.

     

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Assisting attorneys throughout all stages of litigation from initiation to trial.
    • Drafting various legal documents such as pleadings, correspondence, and interrogatories.
    • Managing client files, and calendars, and providing updates on case status.
    • Conducting thorough legal research, including court rules and procedures.
    • Collaborating on trial preparation, including organizing trial binders, coordinating with experts and opposing counsel, and liaising with court personnel.
    • Willingness to travel extensively, potentially for 3-4 weeks at a time for trials.

    • Dedication to representing plaintiffs' interests.
    • Exceptional organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in computer applications and legal procedures.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
    • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively with litigation team members, investigators, and other legal professionals.

     

    Previous Experience Preferred:

    • 2-4+ years of experience in asbestos law or in a trial setting as a paralegal.
    • A paralegal certificate or degree is preferred but not required.
