A highly regarded boutique law firm is seeking a full-time associate for its litigation practice. As an Attorney specializing in Civil Litigation at our firm, your role will be pivotal in providing invaluable legal counsel and guidance to our diverse clientele. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of challenging and interesting cases representing businesses covering employment and business law issues before state and federal courts and administrative agencies.

About the position:

This position requires excellent business judgment, strategic thinking, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging and interesting legal assignments representing businesses covering employment and business law issues.

Expectations & Qualifications:

• Active Membership in the CA State Bar required in good standing
• Minimum (2) two plus years of civil litigation experience (please do not apply if less than two years)
• Experienced with discovery and motion practice, pleadings, document review, and oral arguments;
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to interface with clients of diverse backgrounds
• Legal research and analysis
• Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and case management skills
• Manage projects effectively with a team-oriented approach
• Maintain awareness of deadlines and proactively anticipate and complete necessary tasks
• Participate in strategic communications with clients and answer legal inquiries
• Timely report to clients regarding significant developments
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current clients and prospective clients
• Stay up to date on hot topics in the law and contribute to the firm blog
• Employment law experience a plus; Trial experience a plus
• Bilingual a plus
