  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Identify, trade, and implement various security controls across the satellite, satellite command and control, network, and satellite ground systems.
    • Lead, substantiate, and agree on system security design trade-offs in support of design maturation and program success.
    • Oversee security design and reporting process for the mission, from cloud to satellite.
    • Evolve security requirements into system solutions that account for the maturity of the design and available technology.
    • Apply technical security knowledge to drive the analysis, investigation, and resolution of engineering problems, including future applications, and engineering developments.
    • Lead in customer and supplier meetings and presentations related to mission security at all project stages.
    • Prepare mission security related technical responses to bids, presentation materials and reports, for a variety of applications and customers.
    • Collaborate with customers and suppliers as well as staff from other parts of Astroscale.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Experience with network, hardware, and software security architectures and design evolution at various levels of the mission design lifecycle.
    • Experience with cloud-based, on premises, and satellite security controls, architectures, and operations.
    • Experience with NIST security controls and concepts, specifically NIST SP 800-53 and NIST SP 800-171.
    • Collaborative communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Experienced professional with greater than 5 years’ experience in network, cyber, satellite, or satellite ground system security.
    • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree or PhD in science, technology, engineering or math, or equivalent experience.

    Salary range: _$130,000 – $160,000. The salary range represents the low and high end of the Astroscale U.S. Inc. salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, knowledge, and ability as applicable to the role.
