    Job Description

    HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

    Human Resource Manager will set the tone for the entire human resources department. From employee relations to compliance issues, the HR Department will help ensure that the organization will run smoothly. Develops organization strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis and recommendations to organization strategic thinking and direction; establishing human resources objectives in line with organizational objectives.

    Implements human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations.

    Supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions, analyzing information and applications.  Will also guide management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines, communicating, and enforcing organization values. 

    The candidate will have the ability to help develop, implement, support, and review all Human resource Department initiatives, policies, procedures, and systems. Cultivate training and development programs. Participate in performance evaluation processes.  Composure and confidentiality required to handle disciplinary and grievance issues.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER INCLUDE:

    • Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding
    • Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations
    • Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities
    • Create a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys; keeps the strategy up to date
    • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and brings them to resolution
    • Ensure the organization's compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
    •  Nurture a positive working environment
    • Support current and future needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital
    • Report to Management and provide decision support through HR Metrics
    • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management

    HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • A BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN HUMAN RESOURCES, LABOR RELATIONS, ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT, BUSINESS, OR RELATED AREA; RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE MAY BE A SUBSTITUTE
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
    • Experience with the human resources information system ADP
    • Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, safety, hiring and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations
    • Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamwork
    • Experience with analyzing data to guide strategic employment planning
