    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The Director/Manager of Operations role will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee the Company’s manufacturing operations of dietary supplements from product development to customer fulfillment on a day-to-day basis. This individual will drive product quality, reduce manufacturing costs, and improve labor and material efficiencies, while developing a best-in-class manufacturing team.

     

    Essential Functions. This role is responsible for all functions within the manufacturing plant, including but not limited to:

    • Lead the manufacturing operations of the production team with hands on involvement daily.
    • Develop strategic production schedules to maximize output.
    • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and drive best practices for manufacturing of softgels, liquid fills, bottling lines, fulfillment, and warehouse operations.
    • Build, develop, and lead a highly motivated team to achieve the goals of the PLS’ manufacturing initiatives.
    • Adhere to all GMP CFR-111 requirements for dietary supplements.
    • Utilize and improve upon existing SOPs.
    • Utilize KPIs to monitor, adjust, reward, and optimize team performance.
    • Identify, communicate, and drive implementations of capital investments and improvement projects.
    • Identification of new opportunities for automation within the manufacturing process.
    • Responsible for all reporting aspects and planning of production.
    • Adhere to facility safety policies and procedures; provide for staff safety.
    • Ensure that processes and facilities meet all Environmental Health & Safety codes, regulations, and company policies.
    • Keep equipment operational by implementing and executing a preventative maintenance program with the Maintenance Team.
    • Maintain daily a clean and safe working environment for staff and employees.
    • Responsible for HR related matters within the three departments including interviewing/hiring, routine clerical documentation, and issuing preliminary disciplinary actions.

       

      QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of eight (8) years of strong operational experience: ideally has worked in a senior management operations role for five (5) plus years.
    • Experience working for a manufacturing company is required.
    • Demonstrated experience in production planning and analysis with previous experience overseeing human resources, information technology, and SOPs.
    • Skills should include organizational development, personnel management, budget and resource development, and strategic planning.
    • Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team.
    • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the mission of Panacea.
    • GMP-run business experience (Preferred).
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels within the organization.
    • Proven track record of providing accurate, reproducible results in a timely manner in a demanding environment.

      Supervisory Responsibility. This position has supervisory responsibility for the following departments:

    • Production Department
    • Fulfillment Department
    • Warehouse Department

       

      Work Environment/Physical Demands. Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and shop environments and is regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

       

      Position Type/Expected Hours of Work. This is a Regular Full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday within the 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM window. However, the position may require additional hours to complete the assigned work in a timely manner.

      Travel. All work is required onsite at Golden facility. Some travel may be required from time to time for business purposes.
