    Job Description

     POSITION: Human Resource Generalist 

    HIRING COMPANY: Mitchell Excavation 

    LOCATION: Lindon, Utah 

    COMPENSATION RANGE: Based on experience ($33k-$63k) + Health Benefits and 401k    Squire and Company, PC specializes in the permanent and contract placement of Accounting and Finance talent to its clients in the Wasatch Front area of Utah. 

    We are looking for an HR professional to join one of our excellent clients in the Construction industry. This well-known and respected company has a position that will help plan and facilitate the human resources process. 

    GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 

    • Prepares or updates employment records concerning hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating. 

    • Files and maintains employee records. 

    • Oversees hiring process, including coordinating job posts, reviewing resumes, and performing reference checks. 

    • Assists with new employee background checks. 

    • Ensures new hire paperwork is completed and processed. 

    • Provides current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and other work-related information. 

    • Administers health and benefits. 

    • Add drivers to insurance and manage process for any vehicle accidents. 

    • Handles questions, interprets and administers contracts and helps resolve work-related problems. 

    • Administers compensation, benefits and performance management systems, and safety and recreation programs. 

    • Work with payroll company to assure employees are paid. Input timesheets as needed. 

    • Conducts audits of HR programs and recommends corrective action. 

    • Performs clerical functions, including making photocopies and faxing documents etc. as needed. 

    • Communicates human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employees. 

    • Informs job applicants of job duties, responsibilities, benefits, schedules, working conditions and promotion opportunities. 

    • Addresses any employment relations issues, such as work complaints and harassment allegations.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS 

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, business management, or a related field 

    • Experience: 2+ years of related experience
