About the Role:

Dog Gone Mold is looking for a hardworking and dependable Mitigation Crew Member to join our team in Kansas City, MO! This is a hands-on role where you'll play a vital part in helping homeowners and businesses recover from water, mold, and property damage. Responsibilities:

Perform water damage mitigation, mold remediation, and structural drying on residential and commercial properties

Set up and monitor drying equipment including air movers, dehumidifiers, and moisture meters

Remove damaged materials such as drywall, flooring, and insulation as needed

Apply antimicrobial treatments and containment barriers in affected areas

Document job progress through photos, moisture readings, and daily logs

Operate and maintain restoration equipment and company vehicles

Communicate professionally with customers on-site throughout the mitigation process

Requirements:

Previous experience in water mitigation, mold remediation, or general construction is a plus

Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, kneeling, and working in confined spaces

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a crew

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Willingness to participate in on-call rotation for emergency response

IICRC certification (WRT, ASD, or AMRT) preferred but not required — training available

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
