Job Position Description:
With a ‘One Team’ mentality, the Mitigation Helper will assist technicians and crew leaders with restoration and mitigation jobs according to PuroClean® processes and work orders. This position will help with water damage cleanup, equipment setup and removal, demolition, cleaning, loading and unloading equipment and materials, and maintaining clean and organized jobsites.
The Mitigation Helper will work closely with other team members to ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards. This position may also assist with driving company vehicles, picking up materials and equipment, and traveling to job sites as needed.
Responsibilities:
Assist technicians and crew leaders with mitigation and restoration work
Help with water extraction, demolition, cleanup, and other production activities
Set up, move, clean, and remove equipment as directed
Load and unload equipment, tools, and materials
Maintain clean and orderly jobsites
Help keep company vehicles, equipment, and facilities clean and organized
Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines
Communicate clearly with supervisors and fellow technicians
Assist with picking up and delivering equipment or materials when needed
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license required
Ability and willingness to drive company vehicles as needed
Restoration or construction experience preferred, but not required
Willingness to learn and grow
Dependable and able to arrive to work on time
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Attention to detail and cleanliness
Effective communication skills
Awareness and respect for safety
Ability to travel locally when necessary
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and lift heavier items with assistance
Walking and standing for long periods of time
Driving, sitting, climbing, bending, and lifting
Ability to climb ladders and work at ceiling heights
Ability to work in tight spaces, including attics and crawl spaces
Repetitive pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying of objects
Exposure to water-damaged environments, dust, chemicals, and other jobsite conditions
