Mitigation/Remediation Team Lead
Location: Lynchburg, VA
Reports To: Operations Manager or Mitigation Manager
Position Summary
The Mitigation Team Lead is responsible for leading the Mitigation Team to ensure resources are deployed quickly and effectively so Paul Davis customers receive the highest level of urgent care during property emergencies. This role requires close coordination with other functional leaders across the business to ensure the team consistently delivers extraordinary care while serving people in their time of need.
What You'll Do
Lead crews in the successful performance of water mitigation, mold remediation, environmental services, tarping, board-up, and floor cleaning/re-installation services in accordance with Paul Davis and industry standards
Represent the Paul Davis brand with professionalism and pride
Deliver excellent customer service with focus and dedication
Prepare crews each morning through a team huddle so they're ready to handle the day
Meet clients and adjusters on site to resolve issues and provide professional guidance
Re-inspect job sites for quality control
Serve as the point of contact for customer questions or concerns and resolve them promptly
Maintain clean, properly stocked, and organized trucks and company equipment
Support fellow team members and foster positive working relationships across departments
Be accessible by phone and participate in the on-call schedule as needed

Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous leadership experience in restoration, construction, or a related industry
Desire to join a world-class team with a positive attitude
Dedication to customer service
Ability to lead individuals from diverse backgrounds
Fluent in English
Valid driver's license with a clean record
Ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
Willingness to work in emergency or on-call situations, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred:
1–3 years leading a team in a restoration environment
IICRC certification or equivalent restoration credential
Xactimate Certified
CoreLogic or Next Gear experience
Proficiency with MICA or similar software
Key Competencies
Current knowledge of mitigation techniques, technologies, equipment, and methods

Physical Requirements
Ability to communicate with customers by phone and in person
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
Ability to safely operate a company vehicle
Comfort working in enclosed spaces
