    Mitigation Technician - Restoration

    The Mitigation Technician is an expert in the property restoration industry, primarily responsible for responding to emergency and urgent property damage. Our team helps the customer recover from a property loss with skill, knowledge, and professionalism while working safely.

    $20.00 - $25.00 per hour (+ overtime opportunities and on-call bonus)

    Paid Training and Certification for IICRC WRT, IIRC FRST & NYS Mold Abatement

    Applicants with relevant experience, IICRC certifications, and/or NYS Mold license are highly preferred.

    RESPONSIBILITES:

    Work safely in residential and commercial properties that have been damaged by fire, water, storm, and/or mold

    Assess and document damage within the property

    Evaluate and record damage to all items within the property

    Demolition of structural damage to properties, utilizing hand and power tools

    Perform initial site inspections

    Monitor and document site conditions

    Deploy restoration equipment according to industry and company guidelines

    Complete assigned tasks and take notes in our software systems, including Mitigate and RMS.

    Take photos of jobs assigned at start, completion, and throughout the process

    Competency – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    Knowledge of technology (iPhone, iPad, computer)

    Excellent customer service skills

    Ability to learn and operate our primary operating systems: RMS, Xactimate, MICA and additional systems as requested

    Ability to create documents

    Ability to answer and communicate with customers over the phone and face to face

    Ability to work independently and / or with a team

    Ability to participate in an on-call schedule

    Ability to work within hazardous environments safely

    Ability to operate a company vehicle safely

    Maintain a level of confidentiality

    Preferred Education and Experience:

    High School Diploma or GED

    Customer Service experience

    1 plus year experience in a craft, trade, or manual labor position, or equivalent schooling

    Current IICRC certifications and/or NYS Mold license are a plus

    Must hold a valid driver's license

    Physical Requirement

    Constantly move about job sites; stairs, walkways, roofs, crawl spaces, attics

    Occasionally requires a ladder to complete jobs

    Must be able to communicate and converse with customers over the phone and face to face

    Frequently will lift up to 60lbs

    Ability to safely operate a company vehicle (current driver's license required.)
