    Mitsubishi Chemical Carbon Fiber and Composites (MCCFC) is composed of several companies, but at its core there are two. In April 2013, two California Companies, Grafil, a carbon fiber manufacturer in Sacramento and Newport Adhesives and Composites, a prepreg manufacturer in Irvine, were merged to create Mitsubishi Rayon Carbon Fiber and Composites (MRCFAC); then in 2017, we re-branded to MCCFC. Since our merge, we have made multiple acquisitions within the United States. In addition to these acquisitions, we have continued to improve and expand our current facility’s capabilities. We are a company with a dedicated focus on responsiveness, quality, and customer support, we are working hard to match the growing global and domestic demand for these advanced materials.

    JOB PURPOSE

    The Technical Service Manager will work as part of a team that will provide timely and accurate troubleshooting support for both the sales team and our customers. This role will analyze, resolve and provide solutions for material and process issues. The Technical Service Manager will interact with end-users via phone, email, or messaging to help resolve their technical issues. Responsible for the update of technical datasheets and technical process documents.

    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

     

    1. Interacts with customers by initiating phone calls, email, through personal meetings, attending trade shows and industry and technology events, etc.
    2. Investigates and resolves customer complaints and issues.
    3. Capable of analyzing and interpreting data to drive decision making within the market.
    4. Maintains a high level of product and industry knowledge including industry and market trends, key competitor activity, new applications, technology improvements, etc.
    5. Represents the company at trade association meetings and events to promote company products and services.
    6. Passionate for the Company and personal success to meet or exceed goals.
    7.  Must be able to analyze, resolve, and solve material and process issues as they pertain to thermoset composites.
    8. Exhibits exemplary conduct at all times in dealing with other MCCFC employees including any outside contacts. Contributes to the establishment and attainment of a positive, safe, and team-oriented environment.
    9. May be assigned, and be expected to perform to acceptable standards, any relevant related duties as required by top-management.
    10. Follows safety rules and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

    KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

    1. Must have at least five years of thermoset composite materials experience and knowledge of epoxies, BMI's, and cyanate esters.
    2.  Required is a minimum Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. of B.S.) from a four-year College or University; 5 to 10 years of technical and managerial experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of experience and training, in the Composite Materials Industry.
    3. Must be fully knowledgeable in composite processing.
    4. Maintains a high level of product and industry knowledge including industry and market trends, key competitor activity, new applications, and technology improvements in the field of thermoset composites.
    5. Excellent oral and written communication skills, both electronic and traditional.
    6. Experience and skill in negotiating pricing and contractual terms and conditions. 
    7. Familiarity with diverse business functions for manufacturing company such as QC, R&D, EH&S etc. Also, an individual has knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices and an entrepreneurial mindset with organizational and leadership skills. 
    8. Hands-on-experience.
    9. Required U.S. Citizen.
