POSITION SUMMARY:
Under minimum supervision, develop the product strategy to support sales and business development teams at Mitsubishi Electric LOW VOLTAGE SWITCHGEARS (LVS) products in Mexico and Hispanic Latin America territory. : Travel assigned territory, as needed to call on key and target customers seeking new projects, developing & maintaining long term relationships. Direct the product strategy efforts for local distributors, integrators and resellers to meet MEAU’s short & long term goals.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ACTIVITY & ESSENTIAL FUNCTION IDENTIFICATION
- Analyze the market and competitive landscape of LVS products management, including established and emergent players.
- Monitor market research, track emerging trends, and understand the Retail market; for emerging trends consider if incorporated in our solution where it could create competitive advantage
- Work with regional sales, business development team and distributors to understand the specific regional and local needs
- Price management and gross margin follow-up
- Proactive sales support
- Commercial training and consultation of sales / BD team and project execution department
- Participation in fairs, customer events and seminars
- Management of product sales tools (reference lists, presentations, booklets etc)
- Prepare and follow action plan to grow sales of the product portfolio.
- Creation and update of product documentation (product catalogues, instructions, standard design projects)
- Effective and continuous cooperation with other Mitsubishi Electric areas:
- factories and supply chain (forecasting, lead time improvement, stock management, quality)
- MarCom (marketing assets, customer events)
- Field engineering support group department (case by case)
- Analyze electrical regulations by country to comply Mitsubishi Electric LVS products
- Plan and lead joint sales calls to direct accounts and Channel Partners per Distributor Sales Plan (DSP) for LVS, seeking new orders and maintaining customer relations.
- Attain monthly and yearly product sales goals established by management.
- Represent Mitsubishi in a professional, ethical and socially responsible manner with customers.
- Successfully build relationships (internal and external) with customers to achieve assigned sales and corporate goals for Mitsubishi Electric Automation.
- Document activities in CRM and complete reporting timely.
- Forecast monthly and annual business plan showing projected sales and quotas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY / MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- 50% travel based on customer demand, primarily within Mexico and Hispanic Latin America.
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- B.S. Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering/ equivalent.
- 5+ years of hands-on product management.
- Product knowledge/application experience in LVS (MCCB, ELCB, Magnetic Contactors, Energy measurement devices)
- Proven track record of launching complex solutions.
- Applied experience with product management skills – pricing, market and competitive analysis, strategic planning
- Excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills, travel in territory
- Strong leadership, project planning and execution skills
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills, bi-lingual in English & Spanish required.
- Computer proficiency – knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Salesforce experience desired.
