    Job Description

    Mitsubishi Electric Trane US, has an excellent opportunity for anAREA MANAGER I, RESIDENTIAL.

    The Area Manager I is responsible for developing and increasing M&P sales through the Distribution Channels including contractor sales.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Works with distributor staff, manufacturer representatives, and contractors on business development and sales activities or projects.
    • Participate in local professional groups, industry associations and functions.
    • Attend and participate in trade shows.
    • Prepare monthly report.
    • Develop relationship with utility companies and builders.
    • Give presentations and training at sales and product meetings.
    • Advise Residential Manager or Sr. Regional Sales Rep I/II on market conditions.
    • Monitor and report inventory levels at distributors.
    • Actively participate in Distributor Sales planning.
    • Develop residential market within territory.
    • Develop Distributor sales personnel to be proficient in selling/offering Mitsubishi products to residential contractors.
    • Be able to administer sales and other promotional programs.

    EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
    • Minimum 2 - 5 years sales experience preferably in the HVAC industry.
    • Minimum 2 - 5 years calling on the residential and mechanical contractors.
    • Familiar with HVAC wholesale and dealer organizations helpful.
    • Ability to read and comprehend architect and engineer plans.
    • Ability to communicate effectively to a diverse background of people.
    • Familiar with PowerPoint/Excel/Word and other Microsoft Office products.
    • Willing to travel.
    • Excellent public speaking skills.
