    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Position: Mixer

    Shift: 1st & 2nd

    Schedule: Monday through Friday

    Reports To: Lead Mixer

    Employment Status: Full Time

    FLSA Classification: Hourly/ Non- Exempt

    Compensation Range: $17.00 - $18.50


    Job Summary:

    A Mixer is responsible for using specified ingredients and the specified settings in the mixing, scaling and baking process to produce a consistent product in a timely manner that meets all standards set forth by the company.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Mixers must communicate with the Shift Manager about any prior issues from previous shift.

    • Mixing issues.

    • Batter temperature.

    • Mechanical Issues.

    • Water and Egg temperature.

    • Calibration Issues.

    • Paperwork Issues.

    • Anything that is a change from normal procedures.

    • Know the specific ingredients contained in each product to be produced.

    • Be aware of the temperature that each machine must have.

    • Operate machinery and ovens correctly when creating the product.

    • Put the exact amounts of raw material needed in the process.

    • Configuration of manufacturing equipment.

    • Ensure ingredients meet quality standards.

    • Assess the efficiency of each unit regularly, identifying improvements as needed.

    • Measuring ingredients and products to ensure they meet the stated requirements.

    • Tending to the machines used for mixing and reading provided work orders to determine pertinent information.

    • No changes to recipe or Handling Procedures are to be made without approval by shift Supervisor or R&D Manager.

    • Utensils should be cleaned and sanitized.

    • Paperwork is completed and handed over to the Shift Supervisor.

    Job Requirements:

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and others.
    • Experience working in a plant environment or assembly lines.
    • Frequent standing for extended periods of time.
    • Frequent use of hands and arms, including some extended reaching, pulling, and pushing to complete production work.
    • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently.

    Training and Experience:

    • Minimum 1-year of experience.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment:

    • The production floor is at times noisy and fast paced with constant movement. The indoor climate is seasonably warm during summer months, comfortably cool during winter months. Personal protective equipment may be required.
