Are you an expert in testing and automation for broadband devices? We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as an RDK-B Test Automation Engineer. This role involves working on a prestigious project with a leading telecommunications provider, focusing on the testing and automation of RDK-B based products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and integrate automation frameworks and scripts for RDK-B based products.
• Perform unit testing for C and C++ based applications in RDK-B products.
• Integrate and develop test scripts using Python, TCL, and Bash on test controllers like Ranorex, Spirent TC/Abacus, and Octoscope.
• Understand and utilize RDK central Test Suites, Test Cases, and Test Vectors.
• Conduct Linux system testing, board level testing, and troubleshooting.
• Define the Test Plan/Test Strategy for broadband components.
• Manage firmware updates and release testing.
• Utilize test frameworks like Robot, Boardfarm, and PyTest for automation tasks.
• Develop and maintain web-based user interfaces for RDK-B configuration.
• Employ debugging tools and techniques to troubleshoot embedded systems.
• Build and maintain DevOps pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.

Qualifications

Must-Have Experience:

• 8-12 years of experience in testing and automation of broadband devices and their interfacing components.
• Proven experience in developing automation frameworks and scripts for RDK-B based products.
• Strong experience in unit testing C and C++ applications.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, TCL, Bash) and test controllers (Ranorex, Spirent TC/Abacus, Octoscope).
• Comprehensive understanding of RDK central Test Suites and Linux system testing.
• Experience in defining Test Plans and Test Strategies for broadband components.
• Expertise in firmware updates and release testing.
• Proficiency in debugging tools and techniques for embedded systems.
• Familiarity with web-based interfaces and DevOps pipeline automation.

Preferred Skill Set:

• Active participation in the RDK-B community with a deep understanding of its testing and automation processes.
• Good understanding of wireless technologies, primarily Wi-Fi.
• Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs).
• Awareness of security best practices including encryption, authentication, and network security.
• Understanding of wireless technologies and configuring wireless interfaces in RDK-B.

Soft Skills:

• Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective prioritization of tasks in high-pressure environments.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven customer-facing experience and ability to create feasible solutions that meet customer requirements.
