We are passionate about providing exceptional grooming services that enhance the well-being of our furry clients while ensuring a delightful experience for their owners. We’re hiring a part-time or full-time skilled mobile groomer to join our team and provide professional grooming services for dogs and cats at clients’ homes in our fully equipped grooming van. You’ll manage appointments, deliver high-quality grooming and customer service, and maintain a clean, safe mobile workspace. This role requires at least 3 years of hands-on grooming experience and comfort working independently on the road.
Qualifications:
3+ years of pet grooming and styling experience
Cat grooming experience a plus but not required
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must be able to work flexible hours (including some weekends as well as holiday seasons)
Responsibilities:
Perform full grooming services: bathing, drying, brushing, de-shedding, haircuts, nail trims, ear cleaning, and sanitary trims for dogs and cats.
Assess animal behavior and health; adapt handling and grooming techniques for anxious, senior, or special-needs pets.
Maintain grooming van cleanliness, sanitation, and equipment (clippers, blades, dryers, grooming table).
Keep accurate records of services, pet notes, and any health or behavior concerns; report issues to management.
Communicate professionally with clients before and after appointments.
Drive safely between appointments and follow all vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
Ensure the safety and comfort of pets during grooming sessions.
Stay updated on grooming trends and techniques to provide the best service.
Build lasting relationships with clients and their pets to encourage repeat business.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years professional grooming experience with dogs.
Proven ability to perform breed-specific and creative cuts, and to handle a wide range of temperaments.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Strong animal handling and restraint skills; knowledge of basic animal first aid.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Willingness to pass a background check.
Proven experience as a pet groomer with a strong portfolio of work.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred qualifications
5+ years professional grooming experience with both dogs and cats.
Certification from a recognized grooming school or professional association.
Experience with mobile grooming operations and van equipment maintenance.
Familiarity with grooming software and mobile payment systems.
Pet CPR/first aid certification.
