About the Role:

GD Mobile Truck Repair Inc is looking for a skilled Mobile Fleet Technician to join our team in Syracuse, NY! This is a hands-on, road-based role where you'll bring expert diesel and fleet repairs directly to our customers — keeping trucks rolling and businesses moving. Responsibilities:

Perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on commercial trucks and fleet vehicles

Troubleshoot diesel engines, electrical systems, brakes, and drivetrain components

Conduct preventive maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections

Respond to roadside service calls and emergency breakdowns in a timely manner

Maintain accurate service records and document all repairs and parts used

Manage and stock mobile service vehicle with necessary tools, parts, and equipment

Communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly to customers and dispatch

Requirements:

Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, fleet technician, or heavy-duty truck technician

Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and brake systems

Ability to work independently in a mobile, field-based environment

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred)

Own a basic set of professional mechanic's tools

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills under pressure

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work flexible hours, including potential on-call or weekend availability
