District Manager - Verizon Wireless Premium Retailer
This position is primarily responsible for the overall profitability for the district and stores. This includes meeting and exceeding sales goals and key metrics. In addition, this position is responsible for all employee-related issues including hiring, terminating, disciplining, in-store coaching, training, managing overhead cost, and corporate policy compliance.
Accomplishes regional sales human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees in assigned districts; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
Achieves District sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining regional sales system improvements; implementing change.
Meets regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing a sales and staffing budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for Market Manager in support of Company objectives.
Field time expectations: Visit every store at least once per week, Shadow each manager at least twice a month, have a monthly closeout with each
Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.
Accomplishes sales and the organizational mission by completing related results as needed.
Requirements
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to train and manage other employees.
Must have high level of interpersonal and customer skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees, and elicit work output.
Must have expert knowledge of all products and services
Must be accountable to Company Policies & Procedures
Direct supervision of Store Sales Managers and Sales Associates
High school diploma; college degree preferred
Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years multi-unit experience with direct reports in a leadership position
Working knowledge in all software platforms pertaining to the day to day performance
Must be able to drive for extended periods of time
