    Multiple Openings: North Indiana (Districts 1–4), Central Indiana (Districts 5–7), & South Indiana (Districts 8–10)

    Hybrid - 1 day onsite, 4 days in the field

    Our client is leading Indiana’s 5-year Rural Health Transformation Program, including the Make Rural Indiana Healthy Again Regional Grants, a historic $600M investment to strengthen healthcare access, prevention, and system resilience across 64 fully rural and nine partially rural counties. This initiative brings together state leadership, healthcare providers, and community organizations to design and implement solutions that reflect local needs while advancing a shared, statewide vision for better health outcomes.

    As an MIH Liaison, you will help strengthen emergency response coordination, support Mobile Integrated Health agencies across Indiana, and improve operational consistency in communities throughout the state.

    About the Role

    The IDHS Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) Liaison serves as a key regional partner supporting statewide MIH initiatives across Indiana. These positions provide programmatic and operational support to MIH agencies while helping ensure consistent implementation of program standards, workflows, reporting expectations, and community engagement efforts across assigned districts.

    MIH Liaisons work closely with MIH Regional Leads, the MIH Data & Analytics Lead, local agencies, healthcare organizations, and community partners to support onboarding, technical assistance, operational coordination, and data compliance activities. The role requires strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to work independently while supporting evolving statewide program priorities.

    This is a highly collaborative field-based role that combines relationship management, operational coordination, and public health program support. Candidates will play an important role in strengthening emergency preparedness coordination and advancing Mobile Integrated Health initiatives across Indiana communities.

    What You’ll Do

    Program Coordination & Implementation

    Support consistent statewide implementation of Mobile Integrated Health initiatives across assigned districts.

    • Provide statewide programmatic and operational support for MIH initiatives
    • Assist with implementation of MIH workflows, standards, and operational expectations
    • Support agency onboarding activities and training coordination
    • Help ensure consistent application of MIH program requirements and procedures
    • Adapt to evolving program priorities and support additional projects as assigned

    Stakeholder Engagement & Regional Collaboration

    Serve as a trusted point of contact for agencies, healthcare organizations, and regional partners.

    • Act as a primary point of contact for MIH agencies and community partners
    • Coordinate closely with MIH Regional Leads and the MIH Data & Analytics Lead
    • Build collaborative relationships across agencies and stakeholder groups
    • Attend local and regional emergency preparedness meetings within assigned districts
    • Facilitate communication between agencies, program leadership, and operational partners

    Technical Assistance & Compliance Support

    Help agencies successfully navigate operational, reporting, and compliance requirements.

    • Provide technical assistance and operational guidance to MIH agencies
    • Support agencies with data submission and reporting timelines
    • Assist with compliance tracking and program documentation requirements
    • Identify operational issues, trends, and emerging support needs for escalation
    • Support preparation of reports, briefings, and program documentation

    Work Environment & Travel

    • Hybrid work schedule with:
      • 1 onsite day per week in Indianapolis
      • 4 days per week working in the field
    • Full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week
    • Travel throughout assigned regional districts is required
    • Mileage and travel reimbursement provided in accordance with Indiana State Travel Policy

    • District 4 Counties: Benton, White, Carroll, Cass, Tippecanoe, Clinton, Montgomery, Fountain, Warren

    Central Indiana | Districts 5–7

    • District 5 Counties: Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Marion, Morgan, Shelby
    • District 6 Counties: Grant, Howard, Tipton, Madison, Delaware, Henry, Wayne, Randolph, Jay, Blackford, Rush, Fayette, Union
    • District 7 Counties: Vermillion, Parke, Vigo, Clay, Owen, Greene, Sullivan

    South Indiana | Districts 8–10

    • District 8 Counties: Monroe, Brown, Bartholomew, Jackson, Lawrence, Washington, Orange
    • District 9 Counties: Decatur, Franklin, Ripley, Dearborn, Jennings, Ohio, Switzerland, Jefferson, Scott, Clark, Floyd, Harrison
    • District 10 Counties: Knox, Daviess, Martin, Pike, Dubois, Gibson, Posey, Vanderburgh, Warrick, Spencer, Perry, Crawford

    Reporting Structure
