    Qualifications:

    • Demonstrated engineering experience in product development and lifecycle support.

    • Provide sustaining engineering support to assigned product lines, contributing to ongoing cost-reduction and product-enhancement initiatives.

    • Support project teams through final design release, validation, and initial production launch.

    • Troubleshoot and resolve field issues, ensuring rapid and effective corrective actions.

    • Investigate and implement high-impact cost-saving measures and process optimizations.

    • Provide regular project updates, including risk assessments, milestone tracking, and resource needs.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional team members on project work to maintain alignment with goals and timelines.

    • Maintain a high level of expertise in technical aspects of design, product components, and systems.

    • Support existing products, particularly in area of expertise, with engineering documentation and cross-departmental consultation (Operations, Marketing, Technical Services, etc.).

    • Develop and execute test protocols, plans, and risk assessments based on current standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

    • Release prints with accuracy, completeness, and timeliness to support project timelines.

    • Execute prototype builds and testing, analyzing results to inform design iterations.

    • With guidance, participate in key activities during the product development process, including:

      • Assisting in the development of concepts for new products.

      • Ensuring projects meet specification, budget, and schedule objectives.

      • Contributing to comprehensive project plans in collaboration with core functional teams.

      • Interfacing with cross-functional leadership to support resource planning and project priorities.

      • Supporting design and business reviews throughout the project lifecycle.

    • Take ownership of assigned design elements, ensuring technical integrity and manufacturability.

    • Participate in periodic review meetings with all functional groups, contributing actionable insights and recommendations.

    • Participate in preproduction and design reviews, validating readiness for market launch.

    • Ensure all product development activities comply with company quality systems and applicable standards.

    • Complete all required training applicable to assigned position, and proactively pursue ongoing professional development.

     

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, or similar Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.

    • Exhibit positivity, flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.

    • Effective communication skills.

     

    Preferred Experience:

    • Experience in medical device industry is a strong asset.

    • Solid working knowledge of FDA regulations for Design Controls and cGMPs.

    • Discipline in initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing engineering tasks to meet specific goals.

    • Proven engineering expertise in specified areas (gear design, motors, component design, manufacturing techniques, etc.).

    • Knowledgeable in the utilization of software tools, analysis equipment, measurement tools, measurement techniques, test methods, industry standards, and industry best practices for related expertise.

    • Experience utilizing Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) in creation of new product designs.

    Salary: $135K
