Position Summary Moda Operandi is seeking a seasoned Studio Stylist to work in our photo studio styling primarily on-model, and occasionally bust forms and still-life sets. Taking direction from our Fashion Director and our in-house production team, this position will work to elevate and execute the fashion styling needs of the M’O studio team. The ideal candidate will have an impeccable fashion sense, be eager to learn our styling techniques and aesthetic and work closely with our studio team to bring Moda Operandi product to life. An obsessive attention to detail and awareness of the Moda Operandi brand a must. Role Priorities • Bring an elevated eye and forward styling aesthetic to the planning and execution of all on-model sell shots • Style bust forms and still-life sets, as needed • Work closely with Fashion Director to understand Moda’s aesthetic and style product from a consistent POV • Schedule run-throughs and reviews as needed to present styling options and results • Manage all pulls and preparation of merchandise prior to shoots • Oversee handling of merchandise while in studio’s possession, ensuring it is received and returned in immaculate, sellable condition and in a timely manner • Liaise with buying teams to ensure product is being shot according to brand/designer/season specifications and all necessary styling pieces have been pulled • Monitor website to ensure a consistency amongst product shots and alert team of any discrepancies • Assist in managing studio interns

Qualifications

Performance Requirements • 2+ years on-set photo shoot and fashion styling experience in a luxury environment • Commercially aware with strong knowledge of designers, brands, trends and Moda Operandi point-of-view • A strong individual sense of style, combined with an understanding of Moda’s aesthetic and the ability to merge the two effectively • Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing, e-commerce setting and respond to change with positive attitude; communicate effectively and collaborate well with team members a must • Exceptional work ethic and organizational skills, along with a keen eye for detail • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally and work off-hours, as needed • Ability to resolve complex issues when relevant and communicate workflow status and concerns to studio team • Professional, well spoken with strong communication skills • Pro-active and able to show initiative and generate ideas to constantly improve the image quality of the site and studio processes • Proficiency in photoshop, capture one and bridge a plus Required Competencies Communication and Influencing • Demonstrates ability to build and foster productive working relationships with internal/external partners • Communicates effectively and persuasively with cross-functional teams • Team-player, with strong communication, motivational, and diplomatic skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as good listening skills • Creative thinker with the confidence to share ideas with the team Impact – the ability to: • Engage customers by effectively delivering compelling and beautiful imagery that accurately depicts the products to customers Industry Knowledge • Comprehensive understanding of the fashion and luxury goods industry.
