    VALTA - COMMERCIAL LOAN PROCESSOR

    ABOUT VALTA Valta, Inc. (‘Valta’) is a privately-held Independent Power Producer that finances, owns, operates and develops commercial-scale solar energy projects (250kw - 20MW) in the United States. Founded in 2009, Valta is located in Dana Point, CA and currently owns and operates over 130MW of commercial solar assets in a development, construction or operational stage throughout the United States. Valta develops, acquires, builds, owns, and operates commercial-scale solar assets in California, Hawaii and Massachusetts (‘core markets’), with a principal focus on solar PV assets that have Investment Grade-rated and high-credit quality unrated offtakers. Valta has also acquired assets opportunistically in non-core solar markets, such as Nebraska, Ohio and Missouri. Valta is planning on growing its asset base in new markets in the mid-Atlantic, expanding its presence further in existing markets with the expansion of local FiT Programs, and adding Energy Storage services as a core product offering. Commercial Loan Processor Valta Energy is currently seeking a Commercial Loan Processor.

    · This position provides loan processing, underwriting, and due diligence support to the Legal and Finance teams for handling commercial lending processes of the firm, as well as prompt and professional customer service with the firm’s lending counterparties.

    · This position requires handling more complex transactions and assignments in the loan processing area.

    · The Commercial Loan Processor will assist in building-out and managing the financing of the firm’s growing portfolio.

    · The individual will be responsible for supporting the successful execution of financings for loans, as well as project equity and tax equity as needed.

    · A core responsibility of the Commercial Loan Processor is to assist in managing all elements of project financing by working with Valta’s key financing parties on projects Valta has acquired.

    · The Commercial Loan Processor will also collaborate closely with other company teams, including Engineering, Legal, Construction and Product Management, to help improve company processes and outcomes.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    · Accurately preparing project documents for loan submissions and ensuring that adequate documentation is in order prior to loan closing.

    · Inputting loan data and documentation into the firm’s SaaS systems. Reviewing reports and verifying that loan data is correct.

    · Ordering title work, ESA Phase I’s, and appraisals.

    · Reviewing title reports and correcting clouds on title prior to closing.

    · Presenting and logging legal documents presented to the various Authorities Having Jurisdiction, as well as with various groups within the firm.

    · Communicating effectively with customers, brokers, builders, appraisers and inspectors, creating and maintaining good public relations in day-to-day contact and the handling of complicated issues.

    · Assisting with the daily operations of the Finance and Legal teams.

    · Processing loan advances as well as assisting in balancing various accounts in connection to the project budget and funding sources and uses.

    · Filing and maintenance of legal documents, as pertains to financial closings.

    · Providing back-up for other loan support positions and related duties as assigned.

    · Working with Developers and Executive Management team to refine closing strategies.

    · Supporting capital formation as part of a deal team on projects that are being developed, including supporting processes around due diligence, and drawing capital.

    · Driving execution to financial close in collaboration with legal to build successful financing relationships for both debt, tax equity and corporate capital.

    VALTA - Coordinating with internal teams, including Legal and Engineering, to advance documentation necessary to close forementioned financings. - Working with the Product Development team to codify streamlined processes in software to build a scalable infrastructure for project due diligence and finance into the future.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

    • Experience in closing financing commercial loan transactions at a bank, real estate developer or investing entity.

    • 3-4+ Years of commercial loan processing and operations experience. (current)

    • Customer Service skills, both phone and face to face.

    • Ability to perform computer entry/navigation, as well as use spreadsheet and word processing programs.

    • Good knowledge of lending products and procedures.

    • Ability to accurately prepare loan documents or ability to learn.
