    Modern Picnic is the first-to-market stylish, vegan leather, insulated lunchbox brand for women. We are a community driven brand that has created multi-purpose, vegan leather, insulated products that have become not just an accessory in women's closets but an essential.

    We are looking for a highly creative and strategic Graphic Design/Social Media Coordinator who will help us translate the Modern Picnic vision and brand into a beautiful graphic system and grow our community through our social channels. You will work directly with the Founder and Social Media Associate, Marketing team and agency partners, and will be working remotely for the time being. This role is an excellent opportunity for the right person, eager to learn. You will be at the forefront of growth, as one of the early employees in a fast-growing business.

    ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES

    Content Creation/Graphic Design:

    • As the Graphic Designer for MP, you will be in charge of designing and executing the branded aesthetic and messaging through graphic design that is featured on our website, email/sms, paid ads, instagram stories and other marketing collateral.
    • Able to work in various design platforms to create and modify content across stills, reels, videos, etc.
    • Continue to design and improve our digital platforms, including our e-commerce site, emails, and paid ads.
    • Aware of the latest trends in design, but more interested in looking outside of the world of design for inspiration
    • Adjust social content as needed to meet engagement, impression, and follower goals

    Content/Social Management:

    • Oversee the social media ecosystem from start to finish: calendar planning, asset creation, captions and copywriting, posting, engaging and analyzing.
    • Partner with Marketing Coordinator to build out the content marketing calendar for all social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, and LinkedIn
    • Stay up to date (and ahead!) of trends, cultural moments and creative ways for Modern Picnic to join real-time conversation.
    • Follow all industry best practices to increase follower growth, engagement and social commerce
    • A demonstrated ability to write engaging social-media copy within Modern Picnic brand voice

    WHAT KIND OF PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

    • Proficient use of Adobe Illustrator
    • Must submit a portfolio to be considered.
    • 1+ years of experience in graphic design (excluding internships), recent experience with fashion or accessories is a bonus, DTC is another bonus
    • Must have strong attention to detail, ability to work independently while also collaboratively, extra strong organization skills and ability to ensure everything the brand puts out into the world is on-brand (aesthetically, visuals, voice).
    • Most importantly, the team is looking for a positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset.
    • You are culturally-aware and naturally curious—you know what other brands are doing and are always thinking "how can we do this better?"
    • You thrive in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong awareness of cultural trends relevant to our target.
    • Experience using Loomly, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Opal or other social media management platforms
    • Proficient in Canva, Photoshop, Premiere and Adobe Creative Suite is a must
