Modern Yardz, Inc. is a full service design and build landscape company. We specialize in the custom design and installation of outdoor living spaces. We are seeking a Landscape Design Specialist to join our rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of Landscape Construction. He or she would be creative, understand the construction process, be articulate, likable, confident and have sales & design skills. Will train the right person. Job Description: Attend High-Quality Pre-set Leads Measure and draw up landscape design plans for clients (2D & 3D Renderings) Present design plans to clients and adjust plans as needed. Provide clients with proposals & finalize design/build contract by closing the deal Communicate effectively with the Project Manager to ensure the landscape installation goes according to planned. Follow-up with previous leads and previous clients; scheduling follow-up appointments to review the final project or to discuss new opportunities Grow your referral business All projects are managed by one of our highly experienced Project Managers, you will work together to ensure the project is installed but will not need to be on site daily. Our goal is to ensure the Design Sales Specialist is out selling while our Project Managers are on-site managing day to day activities during installation. Job Requirements: Prior experience in the Home Improvement Industry (specific experience in Landscape Design, Landscape Architecture, Pavers and/or the Synthetic Turf industry would be a ideal) 2-3 years of Outside Sales & Design Experience 2-3 years of Construction Experience (i.e. Project Management) Proficient in all Google products (Google Docs, Drive, etc.) Proficient in CAD or equivalent design software Proficient in 3D software (Vizterra Software, etc.) Strong communication skills Excellent customer service skills Ability to work well with management and project managers Effective time management, organization and multi-tasking skills Positive attitude; willing to go the extra mile Base salary $60-70k + commission with the ability to make over $100,000/year Flexible schedule Ability to travel to in person appointments - MUST live in the San Diego area
