    ModernControls is a leading provider of HVAC and building automation services for commercial facilities across Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New Jersey. With over 100 employees, and a fleet of 70 service vehicles, our team of experts install, maintain, and design Building Automation and HVAC systems designed to help facility managers control building environments and operating costs. We are actively seeking a Sales Representative to join our growing company and sales team. Position Summary This position is responsible for conducting sales out in the field via face-to-face interactions with both potential and existing customers in Southern New Jersey, Pennsylvania and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for offering the best possible customer experience as well as providing hands-on explanations of any new or updated products when necessary. Excellent social skills to help foster strong relationships, to which will attribute to success.

    Essential Functions

    • Travel within sales territory to meet prospects and customers

    • Make outbound calls to sell company products

    • Always maintain a professional company image

    • Identify opportunities to improve sales performance

    • Monitor market conditions in relation to competitors

    • Build and maintain strong and successful relationships with new and repeat customers

    • Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings with prospective and existing customers daily

    • Maintain records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts

    • Educate customers on how products or services can benefit them financially and professionally

    • Sell the company's products or services to customers within your given territory

    • Monitor the company's industry competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand a customer's specific needs

    • Work closely with marketing department to help build the brand

    Requirements:

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience as a sales representative in the industry preferred

    • Great Presentation Skills

    • Self-motivated and self-disciplined and proactive problem solver

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Strong customer service and rapport

    • Great persuasive and negotiation skills

    • Great interpersonal and presentation skills

    • Proficient in technology and dealing with equipment and software

    • Able to travel frequently as required of the job

    • Must be able to stand and walk for long hours at a time

    • Detail oriented

    • Willing to work independently

    • Always team focused Requirements

    Education:

    High School Diploma preferred but not required.

    Experience:

    • Possess a proactive & welcoming demeanor, a well-groomed & professional appearance, exemplary phone etiquette and interpersonal skills in person, in writing and over the phone

    • High comfort level in initiating conversations
