    DESKTOP SUPPORT TECHNICIAN ENTRY LEVEL

    This is a great opportunity for an entry level candidate to get their foot in the door with a growing company. The ideal candidate will be a recent college graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science. Technical support experience is preferred for this position but not required.

    DESCRIPTION:

    The Desktop support technician will assist in the daily IT operations. The Support Technician will help employees through troubleshooting steps to resolve technical issues.

    Candidates should have prior experience with PC hardware, Windows OS, and MS Office Suite.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Perform help desk tasks and assist employees with any IT related issues
    • Provision and prepare new employee equipment
    • Configure new laptop/desktop for end users
    • Process helpdesk tickets that are assigned to them
    • Administrative work, gathering and submitting IT receipts to Finance group
    • Some local travel required to remote user locations

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Setup, installation, configuration and troubleshooting of client PC hardware and Windows OS.
    • Knowledge of MS Office, Adobe, FoxIT, and antivirus programs.
    • Familiarity with business technology peripherals such as copiers, printers, scanners, projectors, iPhone, etc.
    • Understanding of TCP/IP networking: DNS, DHCP, subnets, IP addressing.
    • Understanding of firewalls, switches, and Wi-Fi
