    Seeking an experienced mainframe recovery analyst to work for a Fortune 500 company in the heavy industries space.

    This position is responsible for the monitoring mainframe batch processes using distributed scheduling tools and taking corrective action as required. The analyst prepares and assists with Change Management for Production and Certification Regions as required; conducts diagnostic troubleshooting and creates Incident Reports for next-level support and tracks incidents to ensure remediation and prevention of recurring events. The analyst is responsible for using Service Management tools for online Service, Change and Problem tracking. The analyst must be a self-driven problem solver, and a great team player. This is a non-exempt position that may be asked to provide additional coverage on a different shift to include weekends, holidays and overtime as necessary.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    Job functions and responsibilities

    • Monitor, investigate issues and take corrective action for Mainframe Batch Processing using distributed scheduling tools, including /ISPF, CA1, Endevor, JCLPLUS, FTP/SFTP, REFLECTIONS, JES2, MVS COMMANDS, CA-ESP and iSeries Robot Enterprise Scheduling tools
    • Assist with support of Cross-Platform Administration, including WinTel, UNIX, Mainframe, AS400, Linux
    • Update and create rules in OPSMVS.
    • Transfer technical knowledge, processes and procedures; mentor junior staff
    • Design and implement recovery procedures for the PACCAR IT Knowledge Base
    • Perform proactive measures for the improvement of operational efficiency and increase ECC incident resolution rates
    • Participate in or lead projects as assigned
    • Provide off-hours Help Desk support

     

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • 3+ years of experience in a Command Center environment
    • Experience with CICS, IMS, DB2, DBRC, SMS, DBCTRL, IBM Utilities, TSO CLIST, OPSMVS, REXX, JCL, TOPSECRET, FDRABR, ADRDSSU, and VTCS, CONNECT DIRECT, SAR/VIEW, EDI, IMS UTILITIES, EZTRIEVE, SYNCSORT, OMEGAMON, DFHSM, and DADS; iSeries-AS/400 Console and Robot Scheduler
    • Familiar with Database platforms, specifically IMS, DB2, SQL and Oracle
    • Acute attention to detail
    • Team player; good customer service skills
    • Familiarity with Critical Incident and Problem Management processes
    • Experience with Diagnostic Troubleshooting
    • Excellent Communication skills; ability to write Technical Materials to develop Procedures, Resolutions and Documentation

     

    Note: The role will start as a Monday – Friday, 8:30 – 5:00. After a training period it will move to Monday – Thursday, 6:30 – 5:00.
