Moffatt & Nichol is seeking a Transportation Design Engineer to join our Long Beach office.

The best candidate will have a strong understanding of roadway design, Local Street & AASHTO / Caltrans Highway Design Manual / Standards. Development of street, roadway, and Highway Plan production is very desirable. They will have sufficient experience working with local municipalities and Caltrans.  Responsibilities include “hands-on” design capabilities and experience in preparing street / roadway plan and profile construction drawings and experience in using Civil 3-D and microstation platforms. Additional skills include supervision/mentoring other production Team members and design analysis.  

Required Experience:

• BS Civil Engineering
• CA PE (a must)
• 2 to 10 years of experience

Required Skills:

• Local Street & AASHTO / Caltrans Highway Design Manual DOT project experience
• MicroStation
• GeoPak
• Civil 3-D
