  • Responsibilities

    Mohawk Ambulance is looking for a full time Accounting Assistant to support our financial team! The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Processing accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
    • Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
    • Preparing bills, invoices and bank deposits
    • Checking spreadsheets for accuracy
    • Reconciling invoices and identifying discrepancies
    • Issuing invoices to customers and external parties as needed
    • Creating and updating expense forms
    • Processing reimbursement forms
    • Preparing bank statements
    • Entering financial transactions into internal databases
    • Maintaining digital and physical financial records
    • Assisting the finance department in running smoothly and ensuring transparency & efficiency in all transactions

    Requirements:

    • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related is preferred.
    • Work experience as an Accounting Assistant or similar required, including experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
    • Proficiency with QuickBooks, Outlook, and Excel.
    • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures preferred.
    • Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors.
    • Exceptional organization skills.
    • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
    • Excellent computer skills.
