    Description

    GENERAL PURPOSE

    To courteously assist guests of the Mojo Cigar Lounge with all Cigar Information and purchases, to also assist in the sales and service as needed by the guest in the cigar lounge area. You will be in a smoking inviorment.Be a guide for the guests Cigar smoking enjoyment and experience; facilitate smooth friendly service. Greet guests with courtesy and kindness and assist guests throughout the Cigar lounge; share your menu knowledge to guide and assist guests in their cigar smoking. Provide the utmost in guest courtesy and service; assist fellow service team members as necessary to insure excellent guest experiences. Ensure guests as they exit are properly thanked and appreciated for their patronage.  Following up with a plan for improving results

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

    §  Provide courteous, personalized, attentive, sincere, consistent guest service and hospitality by responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries, request & complaints.

    §  Immediately report any guest service issues you become aware of to the manager on duty.

    §  Report for work in proper attire and dress code; prepared for duty.

    §  Work in an area where patrons smoke cigars.

    §  Perform duties of a salesperson and share your menu knowledge and guidance to assist and be a guide to guests for their smoking experience. Perform daily cigar inventories. Secure all cigars when not in the area.

    §  Straighten and clean humidor and display areas daily.

    §  Knowledgeable about all restaurant food and beverage items served around the area.

    §  Have a good and growing knowledge of Cigars, working to improve Cigar knowledge.

    §  Inform guests as may be assigned of all Cigar specials.

    §  Insure guests have menus and assist if needed in the navigation of the digital menu programs.

    §  Insure that all cigar purchases are promptly and properly entered into the system and that all items sold and served are accounted for on the guest check; responsible for the collection and settlement of all guest check funds.

    §  Have a good and growing knowledge of cigars

    §  Maintain open and clear communication with all customers.

    §  Ensure guest satisfaction with all items served and make any necessary adjustments if needed.

    §  Maintain cigar lounge area to established standards.

    §  Following up with a plan for improving results

    §  Identify ways of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our service to guests and inform your manager.

    §  Maintain assigned station in a clean and orderly fashion; reset to standard.

    §  Ensure adequate levels of all supplies necessary to perform Server duties are in place.

    §  Prompt reporting and follow up for all maintenance issues.

    §  Immediately turn in any lost and found items to the Host or manager on duty.

    §  Follow all Health Department guidelines.

    §  Follow all safety guidelines and policies; comply with all Department, Company, County, State,Federal standards. REPORT ANY SAFETY CONCERNS IMMEDIATELY TO YOUR SUPERVISOR.

    §  Respect property and work areas by keeping them clean, well maintained, stocked, and properly stored.  Work to minimize waste of supplies and damage to equipment.

    §  Assist in maintaining standards of cleanliness in all areas of responsibility.

    §  Complete all side work as assigned by the end of the shift.

    §  Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

     

    SUPERVISORY DUTIES

    Within the scope of the Cigar Lounge attendant/Server position provide leadership and partnership with fellow team members to ensure that all guest service needs are met according to company standards.

    Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE

    Positive attitude and willingness to be of service to guests and team members.

    Ability to maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor even during stressful, high volume business periods.

    Experienced in proper guest service.

    Must have general knowledge of good customer service skills.

    Must have basic knowledge of mathematics.

     

    SKILLS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Must be at least 21 years of age.

    Work in an area where patrons are smoking cigars.

    Must have vision ability to see and visually observe operations and to read written instructions and computer print-outs.

    Ability to work in areas of varying light levels; some areas may be dimly lit, dusty, or have smoke at times.

    Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, walk and stand throughout the work day. Able to walk on uneven surfaces and steps as necessary.

    Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds without assistance.

    Must be able to stand, carry, and walk throughout shift.

    Must have finger, hand and upper body dexterity to push, pull and move levers or buttons, equipment and furniture throughout work shift.

    Must be able to work with arms raised above head during work shift.

    Must be able to work in areas of varying noise levels; may be unusually noisy or loud at times.

     

    ABILITIES

    Must be able to comprehend verbal/written instructions and communicate in English both verbally and in writing.

     

    EXPERIENCE

    Cigar knowledge and/or selling experience

     

     

    EDUCATION/FORMAL TRAINING- PREFERRED

    Cigar knowledge and/or selling experience

    High School Diploma

    Training in Hospitality related field
